If Vrbnik is on your map, while there, why not try the most famous wine on Krk Island – Vrbnička Žlahtina. But the Katunar House of Wine stores myriad other oeno-treasures as well, such as Chardonnay, Rosè, Sansigot, Yellow Muscat and Prosecco wines that you will take turns sampling as you amble around the family cellar and listen to tales of winemaking peppered with local anecdotes. You will also try olive oils and as the cherry on top... No, make that “presnec” with a shot of “rakija” (fruit brandy)! All that coupled with an awe-inspiring view of Vrbnik, a town that many consider the loveliest on Krk Island, from a covered terrace that won’t allow any rain on your parade.

12:00 – Tasting of two local wine varieties: Biser Žlahtine (sparkling Žlahtina) and Žlahtina Ivan Katunar (local variety, white dry wine) with a magnificent view of Vrbnik while learning more about how the wines are made
12:20 – Tour of the cellar, explanation of the winemaking process
Story of the Katunar family and their winemaking beginnings
12:45 – Tasting of five other wine varieties: Chardonnay, Rosè, Sansigot (local red wine), Yellow Muscat and Prosecco, traditional dessert wine
Tasting of extra virgin olive oil, homemade cheese and bread with olive oil.
13:45 – Tasting of “Presnec”, a traditional sheep milk cheesecake with dessert wine

- more than 24 hours before the booked date, no fee is charged.
- between 24 to 12 hours before the booked date 50% of the total amount is charged.
- within 12 hours before the booked date 100% of the total amount is charged.
- in case of no show, 100% of the entire amount will be charged.
