At the Chiavalon family estate in Vodnjan, olive oil is not treated as a side ingredient, but as one of Istria’s defining flavours. The experience begins with local sparkling wine before moving through the family story, from their first olive groves to the long tradition of olive oil in Istria since Roman times. A walk through the olive grove and mill shows how extra virgin olive oil is made today, followed by an expert-guided tasting of four Chiavalon oils in a tasting room set inside the mill itself. With local snacks, Istrian Malvasia, seasonal dessert and sweet wine to finish, this is a generous estate visit built around flavour, knowledge and place.

  • Between 12 to 24 hours before the booked appointment 50 % of the total amount is charged.
  • Within 12 hours before the booked appointment 100 % of the total amount is charged.
  • In case of no show, 100 % of the entire amount will be charged.
