• Lapidarium is located on the main Novigrad square, right next to the parish church of St Pelagius and St Maximus. It holds a valuable collection of 93 stone monuments (from the ancient times to the late medieval period).
• Some of the most valuable museum artefacts include the ciborium (a canopy over an altar) dating back to the end of the 8th century which was ordered by Bishop Mauritius to be set free from his sins, as the inscriptions reads.
• Lapidarium's slogan is “A museum for a new era” and you will find out why it is a perfect choice at the very first glance. You'll love its original architecture with transparent glass walls and the youthful crew which will be happy to share the details of Novigrad's past with you.
