Now in its 13th year, Makarska Jazz Festival turns the Adriatic coast into a stage for world-class jazz from 28 to 30 August. Concerts take place at the Monument to the Revolution, opening with Spanish bass virtuoso Vincen García and continuing with UK jazz-funk icons Incognito, who've been touring for over 40 years. A morning concert at Trg 4. svibnja 533 showcases young local talent from the Makarska Music School, and the festival wraps up with a tribute evening honoring Matija Dedić, Gabi Novak, and Arsen Dedić. The morning concert is free to attend; tickets for evening shows are available via Eventim.
