The Motovun forest is an Istrian natural rarity that is not only stunning but also the home of a reclusive and expensive fungus - the truffle. Join the Karlić family on a truffle hunt with their adorable dogs (one of which has become a famous TV star!). Then participate in the preparation of authentic local delicacies with the hosts in the idyllic setting of the village of Paladini. Itinerary

The experience starts at 10:00 and 13:00. The expected duration is 2.5 to 3 h.

Example of an itinerary for an experience beginning at 10:00:
10:00–10:20 – Tour of the estate, the dogs and an educational story about truffles, with a welcome beverage (truffle brandy)
10:20–11:20 – Truffle hunting with a truffle hunter and sniffer dogs
11:20–12:30/13:00 – Tasting and optional participation in the preparation of homemade gnocchi

  • Non-gluten options are available with prior notice
  • Persons with disabilities may participate in the tasting without going into the forest
  • Minors are welcome under parental supervision, but they will be served juice instead of alcohol
  • Pets are welcome with prior notice under the condition that each visitor bring only one pet, which must be on a leash for the duration of the experience
