No sooner will you step into Motovun than you will be welcomed with rakija and hot fritule (doughnuts). That is the Istrian way – you need to warm up first. And then you roll up your sleeves at the homemade pasta workshop. It is facilitated by an experienced homemaker who will teach you how to properly knead and mould dough (you’ll figure out on your own how to pair the pasta with truffle spread and a glass of Malvasia wine). Make sure to memorise every step because this is a skill you’ll want to hone after you get back home!

Itinerary

Suggested itinerary beginning at 10:00:
10:00 – Departure from your accommodation
11:00 – Arrival in Motovun
11:20–13:00 – Visit to the Kaštel Cultural and Educational Centre (KEC) and workshop
Welcoming with homemade “rakija” and “fritule”
Self-guided tour of the Motovun: History in Motion (Polesini, Josef Ressel, Mario Andretti, Motovun forest, Parenzana, Motovun Film Festival, and more)
Extra virgin olive oil tasting with homemade bread
Professionally facilitated homemade pasta workshop
Tasting of prepared pasta with truffle spread and a glass of Malvasia wine
13:30 – Departure for accommodation
