- The cove is considered to be the safest on the entire eastern coast of Krk because it is shallow and well-shielded. This is why the sea temperature in the cove is higher than outside it, which makes it suitable for swimming from mid-spring until late autumn
- Discover what lies behind the name Soline! It is believed that there was a salt works in the Meline area way back in the antiquity. In the Middle Ages, when salt was highly valued, the salt works were owned by the Krk noble family Frankopan. The salt works was shut down in 1480 to prevent them from competing with Venetian salt works
- Take a walk on Štrada (a promenade in Meline), once full of salt barrels, find the biggest anchor on the island of Krk in Klimno and be sure to visit Dobrinj and all of its sights, such as Maskeron, a stone male head on the opposite side of Placa and a bell tower that was, according to legend, cursed by evil tongues, and yet it survived two lightning strikes, being torn to the ground in World War II and an incursion of Uskok pirates
- Make sure not to miss the Biserujka cave, a few kilometres north of the cove, rich in stalagmites and stalactites and one of the most popular caves in Croatia today
